RESUME BUILDING
Remember that internship you had at the museum when you were 19? Even if you're not heading into curatorial studies it could be relevant for what you're after. I'll take your draft resume and then build upon it to find the perfect hybrid of skills and way of talking about them to make you most suited for your dream job.
RESUME & COVER LETTER DESIGN
I'm not into the hyper-designed resumes of late. All I want is a simple layout with beautiful typography. As a designer with 15 years experience, you can rest easy that your resume will look better than someone else's.
EMAIL HELP + TALKING POINTS
Do you ever wish you had someone to help you write that email to your mean boss or that one shitty client? I can take your draft email, rife with bridges-burning-verbiage and expletives, and turn it into something diplomatically sound and constructive.
RESUME EDITING
Do you already have a strong resume, but you need to perfect it? I can go through it and make sure not only that there aren’t grammatical errors, but also that it’s structured well.
BUSINESS CARD DESIGN
It's important to have a unified professional identity. Simple is the key here–it's best if we just stick to beautifully organized typography (see Resume Design). This way you can leave behind a clear reminder of who you are after an interview. The business card design will match the resume design, which matches the cover letter design.
COVER LETTER CREATION & EDITING
We will work together to create a letter that is both authentically you and of the utmost professionalism. I don't like letters that are cold and overly corporate, but they should they be too casual. There is a delicate balance possible to infuse your personality into your prose while imparting your qualifications. The cover letter will match the design of the resume.
Linkedin assistance
New to online professional networking? We'll put your newly-worded resume online, with some heavy content edits. We can work together to add to your list of skills, and discuss how to garner testimonials from bosses and colleagues.
PROMOTION SIDEKICK
Asking for a promotion and/or a raise can be terrifying. We’ll discuss how to approach a boss in-person for a well-deserved advancement. There are a few important tips I've accumulated over the years (and I've received every raise I've requested).
